Products/Materials and Treatment: |
All of our timber is Russian Redwood, sourced from well-managed sustainable forests. The timber is kiln dried and pressure treated with
Tanalith E. |
Twin Profile Deck boards |
Deck boards are grooved primarily to provide greater
grip. Our deck boards are grooved on both sides to
stress relieve the timber and reduce cupping. The boards are 120mm x 32mm
and can be fitted either way up, giving a choice of two anti-slip
profiles. |
Balustrade |
Our balustrade is designed to be strong, durable and
aesthetically pleasing. It is constructed using four basic components, newel
posts (90mm x 90mm) which can be cut to lengths up to 3.6m, upper and lower sub-rails
(70mm x 35mm), hand rail (150mm x 28mm) and square spindles (32mm x 32mm).
All of these materials are planed smooth and corners rounded prior to
treatment. For greater strength and rigidity, we would recommend that the newels are
built into deck support frame and not bolted on to the side of the deck.
Short Balustrade |
Short balustrade installed on a low level deck
can improve the overall appearance of your deck, whilst being less
restrictive on your view, particularly when you are sitting, it is
also strong and wide enough to use as bench seating. |
Ranch Style Balustrade |
Ranch style balustrade can be installed for a rural rustic appearance. |
Elevated Deck |
Elevated decks can look fantastic
and cost less than building a raised concrete or paved patio
area. |
Ground Clearance Issues |
The ground level on this project did not allow room to
install the deck framing. To avoid the cost of excavating the whole area for
this deck, only the step area was excavated. The finished job looked
fantastic and the cost was reduced considerably. |
Cladding |
TGV
Cladding can be used to close in the underside of elevated decks,
this can improve the appearance and hide unsightly support posts and
brickwork etc, it also prevents inquisitive children and pets from getting trapped.
Access panels or doors can be installed allowing under deck storage. |
Decorative Panels |
Sunburst or Mosaic decorative panels can be incorporated in to
standard height balustrade, giving your deck a completely different
look. |
Steps |
Steps can be incorporated into the design of your deck, either
extended on to the front or side, or cut into the deck platform. |
Disabled access ramps
We can install disabled access ramps. |
Foot Bridge |
A small bridge spanning a brook or stream can
look fantastic in your garden and encourage more use of the land previously
inaccessible. |
Pergolas |
We design and install bespoke pergolas, wall mounted, free standing or built
into your deck, we can also attach an all weather polycarbonate roof. The
support posts are 90mm x 90mm planed smooth and corners rounded prior to
treatment. The pergola rails are 90mm x 32mm with the same smooth finish. |
